Beech Mountain in North Carolina is offering a 10 percent discount on Unlimited Season Passes if purchased by Oct. 15. There are no holiday blackout dates. The adult rate is $550. A second adlut in the same immediate family pays $500 and the rate for each additional immediate family member is $400.

Junior Season Passes (ages 5 - 12), Student Passes, and Senior Passes (ages 65 - 69) are $450. Children 4 and younger ski or ride for free with a paid adult.

Coupon books provide a way to save money for those who may not ski or ride often enough to benefit from season passes. The books can be shared and are available at a discount until Nov. 1.

A Monday to Friday, non-holiday six-pack book costs $180 until Nov. 1, when it increases to $228. The 12-pack book costs $350, then $456 after Nov. 1.  The anytime, or unrestricted, six pack costs $300 until Nov. 1, then $360; the 12 pack offers the most significant discount at $590 until Nov. 1, then increases to $720.

Season passes and coupon books can be ordered online. Beech Mountain is the highest ski area in the eastern U.S. topping out at 5,508 feet.
