Obergurgl, Solden Reunited Once More

The neighbouring resorts of Solden and Obergurgl in the Austrian Tyrol's Otztal Glacier have issued a joint lift ticket for the first time since the demise of the Otztal Arena pass in the late 1980s. The new ticket, which is valid between 5 and 14 days, is not fully interchangeable but allows buyers based in one resort a single day skiing in the other resort during its validity. Both resorts are known for their snow surety thanks to the high altitude of their ski areas. Solden has two glacier ski areas and was formerly open 365 days a year, although it now closes for about six weeks from mid-May to late June.
