Grand Targhee Resort is offering their season pass purchasers a discount on two catski trips this winter. Skiers and snowboarders who missed the resort's first sale can still purchase season passes at a discount until early November.
Season passholders may purchase two full-day catski trips for themselves at $199 each. (The regular catski rate is $349.) The two 40 percent off trips must be pre-purchased by Dec. 20.
The catskiing, which is non-transferable, is offered on a space-available basis. It may only be redeemed 24 hours prior to the day of use. Targhee's SnowCat operation accesses 602 acres of glades and trees. A day usually racks up 15,000 to 20,000 vertical.
Targhee's early season pass sale ended in early September, but the resort is offering season passes at another discount until Nov. 2. Adult Grand Passes are $100 off the regular rate. The Grand Pass, which includes access to the Nordic trails, is valid every day of the season. Passes are available also for weekdays only and families.
New passes were added to the resort's season pass lineup this year, too. Juniors ages 6 to 12 can now get passes at a less expensive rate than in previous years. Targhee also added a Grand Pass for college students who are taking a minimum of eight credits. The pass costs $199.
Season passholder benefits expanded this winter in addition to the catskiing offer. Benefits include a 10 percent discount toward on-mountain dining, lodging, retail merchandise, photography services, and purchases at Habitat. Passholders can also get $10 off group ski and snowboard lessons, and two-for-one tubing.
