The corporate headquarters of Boyne USA, located at Boyne Mountain in the Wolverine State, is not moving. But they have leased two Maine ski resorts – Sunday River and Sugarloaf – which they will operate for many years to come. That is how they currently run Brighton in Utah and Cypress Mt. in British Columbia. The lease is with CNL, a Florida-based REIT. Boyne USA owns Boyne Mountain and Highlands in Michigan, Big Sky in Montana, and Crystal Mountain in Washington outright. It will be a real plus for Mountain and Highland pass holders who enjoy discounts and/or free skiing at all of the company's other skiing centers throughout North America. Now they can look East as well as West. Both Sunday River and Sugarloaf are considered among the top Eastern ski resorts.
