Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton is adding to the mix of discount offerings with a $5 off deal for online tickets.

Guests who buy at least 24 hours in advance receive a $5 break in price during Peak Season, which is Dec. 26, 2009 to Jan. 3, 2010; the Martin Luther King holiday weekend; and Feb. 13 to 21, 2010.

Wachusett's Tom Meyers points out the $49 tickets are a lower price than last year.

Wachusett is doing away with the online sales cutoff so guest can buy their lift tickets right up to the moment before they leave their house. They do not, however, receive the $5 discount for last-minute decisions.

"These new features will enhance Wachusett's online e-commerce service providing the customer with easier, more convenient and more economical opportunities than ever before," said General Manager David Crowley.

Wachusett offers skiing and riding from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends and holidays, with 100 percent of its terrain lighted for night skiing. The area has 100 percent snowmaking on its 22 trails. Wachusett has eight lifts, including two high-speed quads, two fixed-grip triples, three magic carpets, and a pony lift.
