Squaw Valley USA has restructured its season passes. The resort dropped their spring season pass sale rates by $1,000 in honor of their 50/60 anniversary - a celebration of the resort's 60 years plus the 50th anniversary of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
Those who missed the spring pass sale are still in luck. The fall pass sale is on until mid-October. Season passes for this winter are available in four different options.
The Bronze pass costs $649 for adults. It is valid seven days a week and includes night skiing or riding; however, blackout dates on the Bronze pass include Saturdays, Dec. 27-Feb. 28, and holidays.
The Silver pass, which also is valid seven days a week and includes night skiing, costs $749 for adults. It does not have the Saturday blackout dates, but does preclude skiing holidays: Dec. 27-Jan. 2, Jan. 16-17, and Feb. 13-14.
The Gold pass, which is valid for unlimited skiing with no blackout dates, costs $949 for adults. The pass also comes with benefits: four vouchers for $20 off an adult all day lift ticket, four free adult group lessons, and 15 percent off Squaw Valley retail purchases.
The Platinum pass, which costs $1,499 for adults, also is valid for unlimited skiing with no blackout dates. Passholder benefits include one early lift date per month for first tracks on corduroy, ski with Jonny Moseley dates, two free adult all day lift tickets, 10 free adult group lessons, 20 percent off Squaw Valley retail, 10 free hot waxes, four vouchers for $20 off an adult all day lift ticket, and access to Squaw out-of-bounds program for guided tours of Shirley Canyon, Happy Valley, and Lemming Ridge.
Passes can be purchased online, by mail, or in person. All four pass options are available with youth, child, and senior pricing, too.
