Les 2 Alpes will host its popular Full Moon Evenings throughout the season. This traditional event has been taking place in Les 2 Alpes for the past 20 years.
The Full Moon Evenings are planned five times: Dec. 30 and 31, 2009, and Jan. 28, Feb. 28, and March, 30, 2010. Skiers can take to the slopes for an evening of night skiing on the 2 Alpes glacier at an altitude of 3200 metres after the ski lifts have closed down for the day,
The Full Moon Evenings feature a program of activities, with skiing on the glacier until sunset, a mountain-style dinner in a slope-side restaurant, and a moonlit descent back to the resort at 1600 metres.
These popular evenings are limited to the first 200 places. The Full Moon Evening programme costs €40 and includes night skiing supervision, entrance to the ice caves, a meal, and music and dancing in the Les Glaciers restaurant.
Les 2 Alpes offers access to 225 kilometres of slopes as well as a world-class snow park, and glacier at 3600 metres. The resort centre is lined with a good choice of lively bars, pubs, and restaurants serving typical local cuisine.
