Season passes for Bryce Resort in Virginia cost $225 if purchased by Oct. 31. Passes are valid during operating hours all season with few restrictions. Blackout dates are Dec. 25 to Jan.3, 2010; Martin Luther King weekend Jan. 16-18; and Presidents Day weekend Feb. 13-15. Bryce is a member-owned resort that is open to the public.

Passes come with a variety of add-ons. Additional benefits include a $12 discount on lift tickets during restricted periods, a $5 discount on tubing, a $10 discount on Ski Boutique purchases, and discounts on golf and golf merchandise. The Ski Boutique stocks skis, snowboards, accessories, and apparel.

Active duty military personnel, police, firefighters, and emergency service personnel are eligible for weekday discounts and designated free days during the season. Accompanying dependants get a dscount.  First Responder Days will be posted on the Bryce Web site. A valid ID is required.

Students with good grades can get a price break too. One day per month Honor Roll students qualify for a free lift ticket mid-week on Good Student Recognition dates. Students must show proof of their Honor Roll status.

Bryce is located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley about  two hours from Washington, D.C. HIstory buffs may choose to visit many Civil War historic sites in the surrounding area.
