Early and late season overnight mini-vacations recently announced in the Canaan Valley region of West Virginia offer value for the dollar. They are designed for those with limited leisure time. The Canaan Resort Stay and Ski Package is available anytime during value season, Dec. 11-23 or March 7-20, 2010.

The package costs $59 per person, per night, double occupancy, It includes lodging, lift tickets, breakfast, Beech Club privileges, a complimentary group ski lesson, and $2 off snow tubing. The package is available midweek Jan. 3 to March 4 for $59 per person, per night, double occupancy. Major holidays are excluded

A one day/one night Bed and Breakfast Getaway during value season, Dec. 11-23 or March 7-20, 2010, is $39 per person, per night, double occupancy any day including weekends. During prime season, Jan. 3 to March 4, the rate bumps up to $49 per person, per night, double occupancy for midweek, non-holiday stays. Packages include lodging, breakfast, Beech Club privileges, and a $2 off coupon for tubing. Lift tickets are not included.      

Two- and three-day Winter Wonderland Weekend Getaways also are available throughout prime season with restrictions during the Martin Luther King and Presidents Week holiday periods.

The Beech Club ofers an indoor lap pool, sauna, a fitness room, and a whirlpool spa. There also is an ice skating rink.

Parents with kids who opt not to purchase a special package can still get a price break. Kids 17 and under stay free in the same room with their parents.
