Horizon Air has expanded flights to Sun Valley for this winter's ski and snowboard season. Direct flights in the past have only come from Seattle during winter, but now skiers and riders also can fly direct from Los Angeles and Boise.

Horizon will operate one daily direct flight to Sun Valley from each of the three cities--Los Angeles, Boise, and Seattle. Flights will run from Dec. 19 through March 21.

The Seattle flight departs Sea-Tac International Airport at 2:15 p.m. daily and arrives in Sun Valley at 4:55 p.m. The return flight leaves Sun Valley at 5:25 p.m., allowing a full day of skiing before the flight. It arrives back in Seattle at 7:15 p.m.

Daily flights depart Boise at 5:35 p.m., arriving in Sun Valley at 6:15 p.m. Flights leave Sun Valley at 2:30 and 5:25 p.m., arriving back in Boise 40 minutes later.

Los Angeles flights depart Los Angeles International Airport at 10:35 a.m. and land in Sun Valley at 1:59 p.m. Return flights allow for a full day of skiing as they depart Sun Valley at 6:40 p.m. and arrive at LAX at 8:10 p.m.
