Skiers and snowboarders in the Canadian Rockies can get their season passes for Sunshine Village or Marmot Basin at reduced rates through September. The two ski resorts - one in Banff National Park and the other in Jasper National Park - sit in an elite group of ski area that operate inside national parks.

Sunshine Village is offering its season passes at rates up to 15 percent off regular prices. Adult passes cost $769 CAD, and passes for skiing or riding midweek cost $599 CAD. Youth, student, and senior passes cost $599 CAD also. Child passes are $249 CAD. These sale rates are valid until Sept. 30.

Prices go up Oct. 1. Season pass rates will increase by $50-130, depending on the age bracket for the pass.

Marmot Basin season passes are also on sale through Sept. 30. Adult passes cost $869 CAD while the midweek pass costs $615 CAD. Youth, student, or senior passes cost $615 CAD, and child passes cost $289 CAD. Rates increase on Oct. 1 by $30-100 per pass.

Passholders at both ski resorts get special benefits, which includes discount on lodging or rentals. Passholders can also get reduced rates on lift tickets at other resorts. Sunshine passholders can ski Marmot with a discount, and vice versa.

Sunshine season passes may be purchased online or in person at the Calgary office or the Banff Lake Louise Sunshine Ski Hub. Marmot season passes may be purchased online or by phone.
