Les 2 Alpes Opens Briefly Oct. 27

Skiing on the Girose and Mont de Lans glaciers above Les 2 Alpes and La Grave is one of the largest areas in Europe outside the winter season. It will be open from Oct. 27-Nov. 5. There is an 800 metres vertical between 2,800 metres and 3,600 metres and over 400 acres of skiable terrain. 17 lifts are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to get the best of the snow conditions, including the underground funicular Dome Express. Runs open are greens, blues, and reds (easiest - more difficult), along with a fun park with half pipe. The winter season opening date is Dec. 1 to April 26.
