California Snow Gold passes allow skiers and snowboarders to access the slopes at more than 30 alpine and cross-country ski resorts. The pass, sponsored by the California Ski Industry Association, is designed to let skiers and snowboarders experience a broad range of snow slopes across California and Nevada.
The pass has no blackout dates and is fully transferable; however, only one person may use the pass each day. It is good for one lift ticket or trail pass at one ski area every day of the season.
The Gold Pass may be used up to 50 times at each participating resort.
Snow Gold passholders must pick up lift tickets at each resort's guest services window. Northstar-at-Tahoe, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Sugar Bowl Ski Resort allow Gold Pass holders to bypass the ticket window and go straight to the lifts.
Two Gold Passes may be purchased by one individual or four passes by a business. Each pass costs $2,450 and is only available via a mail-in application. Applications are available online.
Gold Passes are valid for lift tickets at Alpine Meadows, Bear Mountain, Bear Valley, Boreal, Diamond Peak, Dodge Ridge, Heavenly, Homewood, June Mountain, Kirkwood, Mammoth Mountain, Mt. High, Mt. Rose, Mt. Shasta, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Sierra Summit, Sierra-at-Tahoe, Snow Summit, Snow Valley, Soda Springs, Squaw Valley, Sugar Bowl, Tahoe Donner, Tamarack, and Badger Pass. They also are valid at eight cross-country ski areas.
