The FIS World Cup Ski Jumping will return to Engelberg on the weekend of Dec. 19-20, 2009. This event is one of Engelberg's winter highlights and offers an impressive sight for spectators.

The FIS World Cup Ski Jumping 2009 begins Friday, Dec. 19 with qualifying trials at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 practice jumps begin at 12:45 p.m and the FIS World Cup Ski Jumping competition kicks off at 13:45 p.m followed by the awards ceremony. Qualifying trials begin at 12:15 p.m followed by the FIS World Cup competition at 13:45 p.m and award ceremony Sunday, Dec. 21.

Tickets for the event start at €20 per adult for one day; €33 for two days. Entrance is free for children (up to 12 years) or youths (12-16 years) if accompanied by an adult. VIP adult tickets are available for €147 for one day; €240 for two days. VIP children's tickets cost €73 for one day, €120 for two days.

Engelberg offers 82 kilometres of slopes set between 1000 and 3000 metres altitude and the Terrain Park Titlis for freestylers. The resort also features 41 kilometres of cross-country trails, sledding, Nordic walking, winter hiking, and snow shoe trails.
