Val Thorens will celebrate the resort's opening Nov. 21 and 22, 2009 by hosting the Ski Force Winter Tour.

This event, not to be missed by fans of the latest ski equipment, lets skiers and snow boarders test the new ranges more than 15 of the biggest brands in ski. To top it all off, the event is free. Winter sports professionals will also be on hand to give advice on skiing techniques and equipment choice.

For the occasion, Val Thorens is offering the Pack Ski Force Winter Tour. Studio accommodation for four people (full occupancy) plus a 2 day Val Thorens pass starts at €71 per person. This offer is valid for Nov. 21 and 22, 2009.

On the programme, a demonstration village puts some of the biggest brands in ski to the test: Salomon, Rossignol, Atomic, Dynastar, among others. A stage area with music and events will heat up the festive atmosphere.

The opening of Val Thorens will also offer the opportunity to leave the first tracks on the 140 kilometres of perfectly powdered pistes. With summits reaching as high as 3230 metres, this resort guarantees fresh snow right from the beginning of the season.

For skiers wanting to take advantage of the the Ski Force Tour without staying all weekend, the single day pass for Nov. 21 is specially priced at €21.
