The Dolomiti Superski region has upgraded many of its ski lifts and slopes in time for the winter season 2009-10.

One of the biggest improvements is the brand new Marchner cableway (3000 p/h) at Plan de Corones. It is a state-of the-art lift featuring 10-seater cabins complete with heated leather chairs. The ski lift path here also has been renewed and the existing automatic hook-on chairlift is being dismantled.

The six-seater Cianross cableway at San Vigilio di Marebbe, damaged in an avalanche in spring 2007, will return to work at the start of the season. This will enable skiers use the Corn and Cianross slopes, equipped for night skiing as well as for the bob slope.

The six-seater Ciampai chairlift (2200 p/h) in Alta Badia will replace the previous two-seater lift. The "Ciampinoi" cableway (2400 p/h) in the centre of Selva Gardena, will be fitted with 12 seater cars.

Replacing the current Bullaccia single seater chairlift in Siusi Alps will be a Telemix lift, the third of its kind in Italy. The new stretch will be 300 metres longer than the previous one. In the centre of Santa Cristina in Val Gardena the Plan da Tieja ski lift will be replaced by a newer version of the same model.

The Ski Center Latemar near Val di Fiemme/Obereggen has a new slope, the Torre di Pisa, which is a technical run 1550 metres long with a 460-metre vertical. The new run is served by the automatic four-seater Gardonè/Passo Feudo chairlift.
