2009/2010 Evasion Mont Blanc season ski passes are now on sale. The resort rewards early birds with a discount of up to 25 percent. All that's left to do is order a ski pass and wait for fresh powder to fall.
Mont Blanc fans must purchase a season pass before Nov. 15, 2009 to take advantage of the discount. A regularly priced adult annual pass costs €661, whereas the same pass, ordered before Nov. 15 will cost €486 euros.
Skiers can also save on the seven day liberté pass by ordering before Nov. 15. Seven days of Mont Blanc skiing will cost €183.50 euros instead of €196. The resort also discounts children's and senior citizens' (over 60) passes if they are ordred before Nov. 15.
To make things easy, the Evasion Mont Blanc Web site suggests printing and filling out the order form then mailing it. The passes then arrive directly at the customer's home, cutting down on time spent queueing. In any case, mail order passes cannot be picked up at the resort itself.
For those who do not wish to order a pass by mail, the Saint Gervais and Combloux tourism offices, as well as the Rochebrune ticket counter in Megève sell passes on site.
Three euros are automatically added to the price of the pass to cover the cost of the hands free card. This card can be used during several seasons or can be reimbursed at its expiration date. With this card, your pass stays in your pocket. There's no need to show it before taking each lift.
455 kilometres of pistes, 107 lifts, and 673 snow canons cover the Mont Blanc ski area, making it a prime winter sports destination. Both the season and the liberté pass offer access to the entire Evasion Mont Blanc ski area: Megève (Rochbrune, Cote 2000, Mont d'Arbois, Jaillet), La Giettaz, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, Combloux, Les Contamines, and Cordon.
