Canada Olympic Park in Calgary has their winter alpine passes on sale through September. Their Early Bird Sale includes individual passes, family passes, and midweek passes.
Individual passes for skiers and snowboarders are available at $50-60 below regular rates. Adults can purchase winter season passes for $439. Youths age 13 and above and full-time students ages 18-24 can purchase passes for $339. Junior passes for ages 5-12 cost $249, and senior passes for those 65 years and older cost $239.
Family passes also are available. You must show an Alberta Health Care card with all family members listed to be eligible for the family pricing. Family passes to be used anytime cost $929.
A new Family Winter Season Pass is also available. The weekday-only family pass is good for skiing Mondays through Fridays, but not holidays. The pass is available at $789.
A Family Night Value Pass, valid for skiing on Mondays and Friday nights 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., costs $279. The pass is not part of the Early Bird Sale, so it is available at any time for this price.
Canada Olympic Park is scheduled to run its lifts for skiing and snowboarding Nov. 20-April 6. The ski hill also plans to host three major events this winter: Snowboard World Cup, Freestyle World Cup, and the Burton Canadian Open.
