Mad River Mountain has been serving Ohio and Indiana skiers for nearly 50 years and, during that time has taught more than a half-million Hoosier and Buckeyes to ski and ride. That includes pro snowboarder Louie Vito, who grew up in nearby Bellefontaine, Ohio.  Mad River has a season pass that will fit just about any busy schedule, as long as they don't all show up at one time. 

The new value-priced MRM Pass is for hardcore skier/riders that plan to spend a lot of time on the slopes.  It's priced from $249 for adults and $150 for juniors (7-12).  It has no blackout dates and is valid throughout the entire season.  Take your pass to the lift ticket counter, get your ticket, and it's off to the slopes. 

For those that like to get out just once a week, there's - what else - the Once-A-Week Pass.  Choose your day of the week to hit the slopes and that's your designated day.  The pass becomes valid every day after Presidents' Weekend through the rest of the season.  Last year MRM stayed open well into March.  The pass starts from $165 per person. 

The area's top pass option The Platinum Pass, is for those in a hurry to get on the slopes.  The pass, which is priced from $395 through Oct. 4, allows you go right to the slopes; no waiting in a lift ticket line.  You also receive $50 in bonus Mad Money, four transferable group lessons, two Avalanche tubing tickets and, if you purchase a second pass, it's 15 percent off, and any additional passes are all 30 percent off.  The price goes up on October 5.

An additional bonus for all MRM pass holders is that you receive half-off your lift ticket at any other Peak Resorts property: sister resort Boston Mills/Brandywine near Cleveland; Paoli Peaks in Indiana; Hidden Valley and Snow Creek in Missouri; Jack Frost/Big Boulder in Pennsylvania; and Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire.
