Skiers booking a holiday in Lenzerheide this December will receive a day's free lift pass for every night spent in the resort. The offer is valid in participating hotels ranked three stars and above.
The deal runs from Dec. 5, when many of the resort's ski lift operators will start running their lifts for the season, through to Dec. 20, 2009. The offer starts at CHF 87 (€57) per person/per night staying at a three-star hotel.
Lenzerheide is a spa resort and lies at the top of the pass between Chur and Tiefencastel in eastern Switzerland. The two villages of Lenzerhedide and Valbella which make up the resort were once separated by the Heidsee Lake, but expansion along the lakeside has seen the two areas virtually merge into one another.
As much a summer as a winter destination, both resorts are long-established and traditional. Hotels are built in the traditional Swiss style and their setting is stunning with lake, woodland and mountain views.
Set at 1500 metres, the area is a real playground offering a wide range of summer and winter activities. Aside from alpine pistes, Lenzerheide-Valbella has more than 50 kilometres of prepared cross-country tracks and more than 85 kilometres of signposted hiking paths for long winter rambles.
