The SkiFever and Snowboard Show returns to Seattle but in a new location at the Washington State Convention Center for its 43rd edition for three days in mid October.
Dan Schindler, the show's promoter, said, "Every major specialty ski and snowsport retailer in the Northwest will be represented. The selling atmosphere is competitive, which is good news for the consumer."
Those consumers can consult manufacturers' representatives from the ski and snowboard industries before buying, in an effort to sort through the complexities of new designs and styles from Salomon, Rossignol, K2, Dynastar, Ride, and others.
In another part of the hall, visitors can visit the resort area to consult spokesmen for resorts and tour operators on their winter vacation and travel plans. Here they will find discounts available only at the show.
With admission comes a coupon book good for two-for-one lift tickets and other discounts during the snow season.
Top athletes will excite the crowd with flips and big air, while dancers will entertain in a fashion show of the latest styles from Columbia, Betty Rides and others.
There will be hourly drawings for merchandise and trips, culminating in the grand prize, an Alaska Airlines "Fun Packed Ski Vacation" to Whistler Blackcomb.
