Boreal Mountain Resort offers passholders more than three different types of pass options. Passholders also get lift ticket discounts at seven other resorts.

Purchasers of Boreal's season pass get 20 percent off on lift tickets at sister resorts. You can ski or ride neighboring Soda Springs or Donner Summit, or make vacation plans and head to Park City Mountain Resort, Utah; Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort, Oregon; Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, Nevada; or Killington and Pico Resorts, Vermont.

The resort offers three types of pass options. The Anytime Pass is valid every day of the season. The SuperSaver Pass is valid six days per week, but comes with blackout dates. The Night Pass is good for skiing under the lights.

Boreal's Anytime Passes are good for unlimited skiing. Adult passes for ages 13-59 cost $269. Passes for seniors ages 60-69 cost $139. Passes for college students and children 5-12 years old cost $99.

The SuperSaver Pass, available at $199, is good for skiing Sundays through Fridays. The pass is not valid Saturdays, nor on blackout dates during the 2009-10 winter. Blackout dates include Nov. 26-29, Dec. 25- Jan. 2, Jan. 16-18, and Feb. 13-15.

The Night Pass costs $129. It is valid from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on nights when Boreal runs the lifts, which usually is from the night after Thanksgiving through March. 

Season passes may be purchased three ways: online, in-person at the resort, or over the phone. They may be purchased as a gift for friends or family, but they are non-transferable and non-refundable.
