Cortina d'Ampezzo, one of the classic FIS World Cup venues, was the replacement site for the ladies Super-G event Jan. 19-20. Aspen cancelled the event late last year because they had too much snow. Cortina, the site of the 1956 Olympic Winter Games and more than 69 FIS World Cup races, held the event at their traditional race course on the Olimpia delle Tofane course at Rumerlo-Ronzuós. Cortina is one of the candidates for the 2013 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, along with Schladming, Austria; St. Moritz, Switzerland; and Vail/Beaver Creek, Colorado.
