Jill Adler
As Level 3 PSIA certified ski instructor with a masters degree in journalism and a law degree, Jill was chosen to helm our team of ski testers and keep them in line. She was on the UCLA race team before driving off to Aspen to work for the Aspen Highlands race crew and KSPN television. A NBC- Salt Lake City job offer brought her to Park City, Utah, where she soon jumped the corporate ship and joined the Deer Valley Resort Ski School for the next 15 years. When that became too corporate as well, she carved her own niche as a freelance outdoor writer, ski model, ski industry expert and associate editor for OnTheSnow.com.
Rachael Hodson
Rachael Hodson, our youngest teammate, followed her love of skiing from Washington to Utah. Entrenched in the ski industry for more than 15 years, she worked as a tech rep for Atomic, a ski instructor at both Alta Ski Area and Solitude Ski Resort, and was a freeskiing competitor and sports action model before turning to ski writing. Rachael currently makes her home at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon with her husband and two sons, Noah, 6, and Isaac, 3. When she's not writing for local outdoor publications as well as www.onthesnow.com, she fills her days on the slopes with her little ones...unless the steep and deep calls her. Then, it's time for the babysitter to take over.
