Zermatt Tourist Office is offering the five-night Mountain Experience Above Zermatt package from CHF870 (€527) per person.

The package includes five nights' accommodation with half-board at the three-star Hotel Silvani located at the foot of the Matterhorn; transport by gondola lift to the point of departure of the Matterhorn Trail at Schwarzsee Paradise; transport by cable car to the Klein Matterhorn or the ‘Matterhorn Glacier Paradise' with its ice palace and panoramic lookout platform; a hiking map and information concerning the best hikes in the area; a daily packed lunch to take on excursions; and luggage transfer from the station to the hotel.

Hotel Silvani also offers guests free use of its wellness centre, including an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, and solarium. Optional extras include an excursion to the top of the Breithorn (4165 meters) accompanied by a mountain guide for CHF160 (€105) per person, including equipment. There is also the option to prolong your stay at the hotel for an extra CHF140 (€92) per day.

The package is bookable between July 6 and Sept 22, 2009. The price is CHF920 (€558) until Sept. 12; it is then reduced to CHF870 (€527) from Sept. 12 to 22, 2009.
