The new Riverfront Express Gondola will be up and ready to go from the town of Avon to Beaver Creek Mountain. It's a three-minute ride from the town's new transit center to Beaver Creek Landing. Once there, you can hop on one of two high-speed quad chairlifts to get you farther up the mountain. The Riverfront Express is an eight-seater, 2,100 feet in length with nine towers and 18 cabins. It can carry 1,200 people per hour. The gondola is part of the $500 million Riverfront Village mixed-use development, with the centerpiece Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa scheduled to open next summer.
