Both the White River West Sno-Park (near Mt. Hood) and Ski Anthony Lakes resort are among the various North American locales taking part in the annual Winter Trails Day promotion. Winter Trails Day, now entering its 12th year, offers children and adults new to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing and cross skiing for free. Just show up, check out the gear and then head out into the woods.
