Val Thorens kicks off the winter season Nov. 19-20 with the Ski Force Winter Tour.
The event allows keen skiers and snowboarders to test the latest equipment from 16 of the biggest brands, including Salomon, Rossignol, Atomic, Blizzard, Elan, Ficher, Head, K2, Kastle, Movement, Nordica, Scott, Volkl, and Dynastar.
Winter sports professionals will also be on hand to give advice on skiing techniques and equipment choice. A stage area with music and events will heat up the festive atmosphere.
A single day pass for the Ski Force Winter Tour and ski slopes Nov. 19 or 20 costs €21.
Val Thorens is also offering a two-night Ski Force Winter Tour Package from $78 per person. It includes two nights' accommodation in an apartment (four-person occupancy), a two-day Val Thorens-Orelle ski pass, and entrance to the Ski Force Winter Tour event.
The opening of Val Thorens also offers the opportunity to leave the first tracks on the 140 kilometres of perfectly powdered pistes. With summits reaching as high as 3230 metres, this resort comes with a snow guarantee.
Val Thorens opens Nov. 19 while the neighbouring Three Valleys resorts of Courchevel, Meribel, Orelle and Les Menuires open Dec. 3.
