The luxury resort Whiteface Lodge was designed, built and opened by Lake Placid developer and former winter Olympian Joseph J. Barile, who will stay on as a consultant to T-Rex, the company said. The Whiteface Lodge, built to resemble the historic Great Camps of the Adirondacks, has won multiple honors, including Conde Nast's "hot list" as one of the best new hotels in the world, and earned four diamonds from AAA.
