A weekend of powder skiing, education, networking and a little pampering will take place April 10-12 when the Sisters Meeting in the Mountains reconvenes for the third time at Silverton.
This ladies-only confab combines ripping Silverton Mountain's amazing expert-only terrain during the day with the nights reserved for round-table discussions and presentations by some of the best and brightest minds of the ski and snowboard industry.
There even will be time made available for evening spa treatments and morning yoga classes.
Panel discussions will include a Global Cooling Ski Adventure Show presented by champion freeskier Alison Gannett Friday and a couple of round-table discussions (one focusing on women specific publications and gear, the other centering on mountain town business and home ownership) followed by a keynote address given by Donna Carpenter, the founder and director of Burton Snowboards Women's Initiatives.
The Sisters Meeting in the Mountains will culminate Sunday afternoon with an annual Silverton Mountain classic: The Brewski Beer Fest, whose motto is "Lots of beer at altitude!" This is a perfect opportunity for good skiers to have some fun and learn from each other for a few late spring days on the slopes.
Lodging and seminar/riding prices vary; registration and other information can be obtained by calling 970- 387-5706.
