Midwest

After a busy start to the week, cool and dry becomes the theme in the region. With some areas picking up 5 to 7 inches of rain or snow, this is a welcome break. Look for things to stay on the cool side, with many parts of the region lingering in the mid 20's to mid 30's.

Northeast

Dry and windy for most of the region today, with the only exception being parts of the West Virginia mountains, which could see a rain/snow mix by late this afternoon. Brisk winds do keep things on the cool side, with highs running in the mid 30's for most.

West

The coastal areas see some relief today, as the Four Corners and others in the Rockies prepare for new powder. These areas could see 4 to 6 inches of new snow by Saturday. Highs from the mid 30's in the mountains to the upper 50's near the coast.
