Busy day in store for the Northeast and the West, while the Midwest gets a taste of action in front of ugly storm coming in on Tuesday. RC

West

Busy day for the Pac Northwest and a good portion of the Northern Rockies today, with up to 6 inches of new powder possible from Seattle to Salt Lake City. High winds are also possible, so it's best to check on road and resort status before you head out. Highs today from the mid 30's in the mountains to the mid 50's near the coast.

Northeast

A fast moving system makes its way into New England this morning and quickly develops into a snow event by mid day. Some in northern New England could see six to eight inches of snow from this system, while those further south will receive rain and gusty winds. Travel to your favorite resort could be impacted, so make sure to check the status right here at OnTheSnow.com. Highs today from the mid 30's to the mid 50's.

Midwest

A small weather system makes its way across the plains today, which is only a preview of what's in store for tomorrow. A significant weather event due Tuesday has blizzard watches in effect from the Dakotas to Wisconsin, with over a foot of snow expected and winds over 60 mph. Travel warnings are in effect as well and conditions could breakdown very quickly, making road travel impossible. Make sure to check on resort and road conditions before you head out. Highs today from the single digits to the mid 30's.
