Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort is hosting its annual Parrothead Weekend to welcome in spring and bid farewell to winter with a Spring Anticipation Terrain Park competition. The Terrain Park will host its last competition Saturday, March 28, saving the best for last: A Rail Jam.
Come watch as skilled snowboarders and skiers turn mountain obstacles into a display of skill and fun. Down at the ski resort base on Saturday and Sunday, enjoy great food from the outdoor grill as Disc-Connection's Craig Chambers plays the music of Jimmy Buffet. So break out the sunscreen, Hawaiian shirt, and cabana wear and join in on the fun, prizes, great food, and tropical music as we kick off the spring season.
Registration is from 9 -10 a.m. with the race beginning at 11 a.m. An award ceremony will follow.
Parrothead Weekend Music and Outdoor Grill Special will be held Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, at Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort.
Strap on some skis or a snowboard for Wolf Creek's Annual Soapbox Derby April 4 from 1-3 p.m. Participants of all ages will schuss, glide, stumble, and tumble down the mountain in the most bizarre contraptions ever seen on skis and snowboards. Participants and spectators will enjoy a day filled with creativity and laughter.
Each participant must include the use of skis, a snowboard, or poles to qualify in the race. The event, free to spectators, is hosted by Wolf Creek Utah as part of the ski resort's Spring Kick-Off.
Participant registration will be held from 9-11 a.m. with the Derby beginning at 1 p.m. An award ceremony will follow the action.
Competition entry fees are $25 per family or business, $15 per individual. Registration forms are available online.
