Women can improve their riding form at the Goddess of the Sun camp at Stevens Pass. Women can improve their riding form at the Goddess of the Sun camp at Stevens Pass.

It may be getting late in the season, but it's never too late to improve your skills, particularly when you can enjoy it in the warm spring sun.

Instructors at Stevens Pass know this for a fact, so they have a couple of "bettering" sessions scheduled for early April.

First up is the Goddess of the Sun camp on the weekend of April 4-5. This clinic is specifically tailored for women skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, with an eye toward improving technique and confidence and finding new challenges in a fun environment. The Goddess of the Sun camp fee is $175 (lift ticket not included) and covers five hours of coaching each day and video analysis. There is also a $99 one-day option.

Then there's the Freestyle Program for Teens and Adults, which will take place April 9-12. This four-day camp, which costs $360 exclusive of lift tickets, concentrates on taking hard tricks and breaking them down into manageable pieces. The clinic, which is open to skiers and snowboarders 13 years old and older, includes five hours of coaching and instruction daily and video review/analysis at the end of each day. Stevens Pass also will provide lunch each day. Helmets are mandatory.
