It's spring - or just about - and what better place to frolic in the sun and snow than at Mt. Hood Meadows, Portland's favorite backyard ski and snowboard hill?

The resort plans to keep spinning its lifts until late April - and perhaps into May if snow conditions and rider demand call for it - and you ride those lifts for the very reasonable price of $99 if you pick up an Unlimited Spring Pass.

The pass, which has been trimmed by $10 over last year's asking price, not only gives you daily use of Mt. Hood Meadows' terrain, it also includes $10 of added value which can be used anywhere at the resort for the remainder of the season.

Other Unlimited Spring Pass perks include free season ski check for those who purchase the pass online, free spring passes for children 6 and under whose parent or grandparent purchases an unlimited spring pass, at least 40 percent off retail prices at the resort's shops, 10 percent off demo ski and snowboard equipment rental, 25 percent off the price for group and private ski and or snowboard lessons for adults and kids, and 10 percent off day care.

Spring deals are great deals.
