The Love Park is gearing up to host Vert Alert a terrain park and slopestyle event open to all ages and abilities. Amateur skiers and snowboarders compete in classes based on gender and age, and ride in a slopestyle and rail jam competition. The park is undergoing a makeover just for these events. With new features in the park and some excellent prizes, you are not going to want to miss these events.

The amateur competition is March 21 and April 18 so come out and show what you've got. Boarders and skiers of all abilities are welcome to compete and will be judged on a variety of skills as they negotiate jumps, boxes, and rails. A $20 registration fee allows entrance into the camp, lunch from Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Mountain Dew, and an event T-shirt, not to mention the chance to win some of the $10,000 in prizes. Children 17 and younger will need to have a parent or legal guardian sign a release form at registration.

The Subaru Master the Mountain event is also at Loveland. This March 28-29 event is dedicated to promoting a safe and enjoyable snowrider environment. It includes free mini-lessons in the Subaru Learning Lane, Nordica demos, and an insider's look at the operations of the National Ski Patrol with an avalanche awareness and beacon training session. Participation is free to all skiers and snowboarders with a valid lift ticket.
