So long 2016, nice knowin' ya! With so much snow falling across the country, there’s a lot to celebrate when it comes to the New Year. Ski resorts From California to Vermont will be welcoming in 2017 with style. From torchlight parades to fireworks and family events, we’ve got the top five ski resorts for New Year's Eve celebrations.

1.) Jackson Hole: After you’ve successfully dropped Corbet’s, check out the Mountain Sports School torchlight parade and the kids’ glow worm parade. From there, you can enjoy a cocktail at Piste Mountain Bistro or bust a move at the Town Square Tavern, a local hotspot.

2.) Okemo: Grab the kids and check out Okemo’s Family New Year’s Eve. Located in the Jackson Gore Village, the celebration includes a magic show, wagon rides, DJ dance party and fireworks at 9 p.m. 

3.) Breckenridge: After you’ve gone big in Breck’s superpipe, go even bigger downtown with the New Year’s Eve torchlight parade, fireworks over Peak 9 and après drinks at The Maggie. For late night, head to the Liquid Lounge or Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub.

4.) Whistler Blackcomb: Do you enjoy watching skiers and riders jumping through rings of fire? If so, do New Year’s WB style and head to the Fire & Ice show, where Whistler Blackcomb Ski School instructors will join the party and hit the infamous jump in the Plaza. Don’t forget about the fireworks, concerts and games to follow. 

5.) Heavenly: South Lake Tahoe is the place to be when the ball drops. Heavenly will be adding to the downtown excitement with a New Year’s Eve celebration, including a live concert, ice sculpting, LED dance show, fireworks and gondola ball drop.
