Crystal Mountain has had an outstanding winter for the second season in a row. The skiing and riding has been great all season long, but all good things must come to an end. Crystal will be closing the slopes after the last weekend of March. The last day of skiing and riding will be Sunday, March 29, and it will be going out on sweet note.
Crystal will be hosting its first ever Maple Syrup Festival Saturday, March 28. It kicks off with a pancake breakfast that morning featuring, of course, real maple syrup. Activities include tree tapping presentations, arts and crafts demonstrations for the kids, and a cooking class for the adults featuring maple syrup. Local vendors will have maple syrup products on sale throughout the day.
Crystal also is offering a lodging deal that offers two nights of lodging, with the third night free. Come and stay Friday and Saturday nights and get Sunday night for free. You can book your stay and check out the schedule for the festival. That way you get two full last days on the slopes, and you won't have to head home early on Sunday squandering the last half day of skiing and riding until next season. Sweet.
