“Send it bro.” This casual utterance is a staple amongst freestyle riders at this year’s winner for Best Ski Resort Park & Pipe. Breckenridge is home to four award winning terrain parks and a 22-foot superpipe. Ramps, boxes, rails, half pipes, quarter pipes, banks and jumps (to name a few) comprise Breck’s parks, allowing skiers and riders to test and improve upon their gravity-defying skills.
Breckenridge’s status in the freeride community hasn’t gone unnoticed. The resort hosted the 2015 Dew Tour Mountain Championships last year, showcasing some of the sport's biggest freestyle athletes. Whether you’re looking to jib, huck, drop or send it this year, Breck’s got the goods.
Here’s what you had to say about Breckenridge’s legendary park and pipe terrain through OnTheSnow App’s firsthand comments tool:
“The terrain parks are some of the best in the world.”
“The parks at Breck are excellent, and expect to see X-Gamers and Olympic medalists hucking big airs in the pipes and parks.”
“Breckenridge has an extensive history with our terrain parks and Freeway Park specifically," states Breck's Terrain Park Manager, Greg Davidson. "We strive to create a top-notch half pipe, smooth jump lines and flowy rail sections for our guests to enjoy. You’ll find athletes using Breck Parks as a training ground—skiers like Bobby Brown and snowboarders like Eric Willett can be seen lapping the mountain on a regular basis. It’s an honor to host the Dew Tour every December and we invite all to come out for the Mtn Dew Spring Open and Spring Park Jams surrounding Spring Fever. Breck is a special place of its own, and we love the skiers and riders who come here!”
