Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville, Pa., has a series of events to end the season with a bang, or rather, a splash.

Beach Party Weekend is March 21-22, with music, food, prizes and swag from sponsors. The festivities kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday and run through Sunday.

That same Saturday March 21 Camelback is hosting the 2nd Minsi Trails Boy Scout Day for fun on the snow for area Scouts.

The 4th Annual Pond Skim is the following weekend, March 28, when brave souls tempt fate by sliding down the hill onto - and perhaps across - a pool of icy water. It's shallow, so there's little danger of participants getting in over their head. The water is cold, however, and under the watching eyes of many spectators. One suspects some of them, at least, are NOT rooting for successful pond crossings.

Camelback Ski Area is located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. It has 33 trails on 160 skiable acres, 800-foot vertical drop, and 17 lifts including two high-speed quads, 3 triples, 7 doubles, a surface lift at SunKid and 4 tubing lifts, snowboard halfpipe, two terrain parks, and a wide selection of trails for all ability levels. It offers snowmaking and night skiing on all trails.
