In these hard economic times, it's important to invest money in the local economy and the community. So, Stowe Mountain Resort has designed a stimulus package for skiers and riders who like to shop, that will stretch their dollar from the checkout line to the lift line.

During Marketfest, an annual celebration of fall in Burlington, Vt., Church Street merchants and Stowe team up to offer great incentives on skiing and riding, while supporting local business. Every dollar spent at the checkout can be saved at the mountain, up to $250 in value.

Here's how it works:

Shoppers save their receipts from participating merchants in Burlington, dated between September 10 and October 9 and get them to Stowe by Oct. 30 to save on a StoweSeven+, StoweSeven or StoweSix Adult Season Pass.

OR

Shoppers can earn one free Stowe Points Card (a $75 value) with each purchase of $25 or more at participating bussiness (up to eight cards per person). The cards can be used to get Stowe Points on a variety of goods and services at the mountain including rentals, lessons, food and more.

Either way the receipts are a must, so start digging through the recycle bin or kindling pile and save yourself some dough at Stowe. If there was ever a reason to go on a shopping spree, this is it.

To redeem savings:

  • Fill out an Adult Season Pass application found at participating vendors.
  • Collect receipts, dated between 9/10/11 and 10/9/11 and include the participating store name.
  • Bring receipts and application to the Spruce Peak Season Pass Office on or before Oct. 30 or mail to:

              Stowe Mountain Resort/Season Pass Office
