Those who thought about buying a season pass this year but didn't, pay attention.

Wachusett Mountain Ski Area is selling next year's passes now, and honoring them for the rest of this season.

The Gold Century Pass, which affords unlimited skiing the rest of this season and all of next, costs $499.

The Silver Century Pass, which affords unlimited skiing this season, costs $279. Next season, it is good weekdays and all nights, plus unlimited skiing early and late season.

The Senior Gold Century Pass is good for unlimited skiing this season and next. It costs $229.

Still unsure of next year's plans?

The area also is selling End-of-Season passes good from now until skiing ends this spring. Cost: $129.

Meanwhile Wachusett has a number of events on the March docket. The Great Race, the culmination of the Race League, is Saturday, March 14. Go green March 17 with discounted list tickets for those who carpool, and enjoy Women's Fest with tours, demos, and runs in the race course Friday, March 20.

Wachusett is rolling into March in good shape and with strong skier/snowboarder visits already posted. After a rough patch in December caused by a five-day power outage from an ice storm that hit Central New England, the area has been on an upward trajectory that mirrors the ski scene across New England.
