"If conditions hold, this is going to make it hard for the mountain to stick to its December 15th opening date," says snowboarder Jamie Gentile. "I was up there last year and let me tell you, it's some of the best snow I've ever had. I hope they open early." The resort is situated next to the Rockies in the Dogtooth range of the Purcell Mountains and has the second highest vertical drop in Canada with a distance of 4,133 feet from the mountaintop to the village. This year Kicking Horse is offering five nights of accommodations and five days of lift passes for only $529 per person. With so much fresh pow you'd be smart to book now.
