Get Delirious In Delirium Dive At Sunshine

Delirium Dive at Sunshine Village isn't a place to go alone. Near vertical slopes plummet through a rock band at the top of the Continental Divide into the expert freeride terrain. The avalanche terrain requires that you carry a beacon, probe, and shovel, that you check in through the entrance gate, and that you ski with a buddy.

Advanced skiers and riders seeking the delirium of the Dive, but lacking the equipment, a buddy, or the knowledge on the best approach, can go with the Sunshine Ski School pros on Delirium Sundays. The pros supply you with the required avalanche gear and a pack. Plus, they'll take you down the best line for the conditions.

Delirium Sundays include a quick lesson in beacon operation, a full day of guided skiing, and lunch. The tour, which costs $199, runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a break for lunch.

Skiers and riders considering Delirium Sundays should be comfortable navigating double black diamond runs. Helmets are recommended, and skiers should be equipped with all-terrain skis.

Reservations are required for Delirium Sundays. Call the ski school at 877-542-2633 for more information and to book the tour. You can also call the Delirium Dive hotline to check conditions at 403-762-6511.
