"You only pay for the time utilized by the aircraft," says the PNH web site. "Weather in Alaska is too unpredictable to guarantee grand expectations of vertical, yet it is also the weather that makes Alaskan heli-skiing the super bowl of riding." According to PNH, however, an average day of skiing or snowboarding in one of their packages consists of 20-25,000 feet of vertical per day. Booiiing! For those who weren't able to get their spots booked for this season, PNH is currently taking reservations for the 2008 season but say those too, are moving fast.
