The Adaptive Sports Center at Crested Butte is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by promoting and providing successful outdoor adventure activities and experiential education with the highest quality instruction and equipment available.

ASC is introducing its Big Mountain Sessions: Snowboarding Camp, a four-day intensive adventure camp for seasoned riders, to further that goal.

The camp, which will be held March 20-23, includes two full days exploring intermediate and advanced terrain at Crested Butte Mountain Resort and making forays into the backcountry of nearby Snodgrass Mountain.

Participants will walk away from Big Mountain Sessions: Snowboarding Camp with a solid introduction to and experience with riding a splitboard, increased on-mountain skills, and a broad knowledge of backcountry safety basics, including decision-making skills and an overview of safety equipment essentials (shovels, beacons and probes).

The camp price of $595 includes all instruction, all equipment, lift tickets, a pre-trip conditioning regimen, airport shuttles, four lunches, and one group dinner. The backcountry trip, which is for intermediate to advance snowboarders only, is dependent on conditions.
