Take Your Best Shot At Mt. Hood Skibowl

The backdrop for budding artistes The backdrop for budding artistes

Think you got what it takes to compete with the pro photographers at Freeze and Powder magazines or the guys behind the lenses at Matchstick and TGR?

Well, Mt. Hood Skibowl is giving amateur shooters of all persuasions to see how they stack up with their 2009 photo and video contest.

Entering the competition is the easy part - simply log on and follow the instructions on how to upload your still photos or videos of your day - or days -- out at the Skibowl (images must be at least 1 MB file size). The site also will give you a pretty good idea of what you are up against as far as entries are concerned.

There are some pretty cool prizes to be handed out when the judges - a.k.a. the Skibowl staff -- make their decision on the best entries at the end of the season. Topping the list is an unlimited season pass for the 2009-10 winter. Second prize is a one-night stay at Collins Lake Resort, and third place gets $100 in Bowl Bucks. There is also a prize - a photo pack from DaKine to store all your shooting gear -- for best terrain park photo.
