Your new favorite app awaits you in the Google Play/App Store. Unless, that is, you’re among the early adopters who’ve already downloaded the brand new OnTheSnow Ski & Snow Report app as of 10.27.2014.
Whether you’re an Android powder hound, an iOS weekend warrior or any combo in between, the latest OnTheSnow app is worth the quick update because…
1. It’s Still Free & Fully Featured with Favorites
If you can’t be bothered to get out of bed on a Saturday for less than 6" fresh, the good ol’ Powder Alert setting has you covered. It’s like an alarm clock that lets you stay in a white, fluffy dream long after waking.
2. Expanded Weather Forecasting
In addition to the reliable daily snow totals, ski conditions, webcams, skier-generated reports and photos, morning/afternoon/evening weather info, and other need-to-know ski-day data, the app delivers weekly region- and resort-specific powder forecasts down to how many inches and degrees to expect.
3. Satisfy Your APPetite for Ski News
Check out breaking resort and ski industry intel, along with top stories from OnTheSnow.com. You never know, your ski pass might have just unlocked access to another mountain that got a foot overnight! The Inbox and News tabs will keep you posted.
4. Cutting Edge Gear is Always Near
Not only can you stay updated on the latest from your favorite mountains, you can now take our gear reviews with you… literally. Shopping for skis, jackets, pants, mid/base layers, gloves/mittens, goggles, helmets and backpacks just got a lot less daunting with our comprehensive Buyers’ Guides, right in your pocket.
Check out unbiased opinions, specs, pricing and more for hundreds of 2015 ski and outerwear options from leading brands organized by category.
5. Easier to Navigate & Share Skiing Experiences
Search for favorite ski resorts anywhere in the world and add them to My Areas with one tap of the star (upper right hand corner). Then sort those resorts by new snow, snow depth, opening date and resort name (tap the header to toggle between sort criteria and the arrow to sort accordingly). Your list of resorts also determines which lift ticket deals you’ll get in your Inbox, so make sure to add ALL favorites!
Capture a day on the mountain or your entire ski vacation by posting a first-hand report or photo directly from the resort’s snow report page. Review your favorite resorts in more detail via the Rating tab, where you can weigh in on terrain, family friendliness, après scene and more. Your reviews determine our annual Visitors’ Choice Awards, so be sure to help your favorites get recognized.
