Wolf Creek in southern Colorado continues to check in with big snow from big storms. The resort sent word that the big storm that flooded Los Angeles dropped massive amounts of snow on the slopes of Wolf Creek. “The most intense portion of the storm dropped a whopping 20" of snow in 24 hours,” according to Rosanne Haidorfer-Pitcher, V.P. of Marketing & Sales.

Open through early April, Wolf Creek reports that spring break travelers will be in luck with excellent skiing conditions and a mid-mountain base depth of more than 9 feet. College students headed south to Wolf Creek can get a deal on designated College Days. Lift tickets for students with a valid college I.D. will cost $38 as opposed to a regular day ticket price of $58.

The ski area also has a Nordic Track that has been recently groomed. Cross Country and Skate Skis are available in the rental shop. Wolf Creek has nearly 10 kilometers of cross country trails. They’re free to use.
