A strong winter of snow and a late spring break for regional schools prompted Idaho’s Schweitzer Mountain Resort to add a week to the ski season. In addition, skiers can purchase the resort’s spring pass to save a few dollars on lift tickets.

The resort plans to extend operating this season through April 13, 2014. Overnight ski and stay packages are available during the extended season, too.

Skiers and snowboarders can get the Spring Fling Pass to reduce lift ticket costs. The pass costs $99 if purchased before March 9. After that, the pass costs $129. The pass is valid for unlimited lift access starting March 10 through April 13, 2014. It is available for purchase online.
